Have you ever had that strange and sudden craving for a certain food? Maybe it was your favorite pizza from PizzaPapalis with a unique mix of fillings? Or perhaps a savory chicken shawarma from Bucharest Grill? But food isn’t the only kind of “Din” folks are craving in Detroit, we’re suckers for some good news! Yet with new publications seemingly popping up online everyday, sometimes it can be hard to keep up. The solution? Detroit Regional News Hub has partnered with Luther Keith’s ARISE Detroit organization to launch a new resource for catching up on all the city’s latest news: the Detroit Information Network (DIN).
Adding a local spin to the wiki trend, DIN is the buffet of choice for pro-Detroiters, offering a variety of stories via digital, print and broadcast from local, national and international media as well as the neighborhood, business and community publications and blogs.
The stories captured on DIN highlight organizational efforts to improve Detroit neighborhoods and the quality of life in southeastern Michigan. It’ll also offer solution-based stories– those that may not be positive, but provide coverage on those who are actively engaged in trying to solve problems and transform the region. And just like your favorite buffet, DIN will make stories easy to find by organizing them by some of the following categories:
In short, Detroit Information Network collects stories that offer glimmers of hope to collectively form a shining star that showcases the best of the city. Bravo Detroit Hub & Arise Detroit, we’re definitely looking forward to some DIN time!
